In 2017 we raised money for children from a Children’s Home in Kalisz, Poland. Currently, this Children’s Home in Kalisz looks after 40 children. The youngest is only 11 months and the oldest is 18 years old.
Together with the Director of the Children’s Home, we decided to do something special during Christmas for children to reward them for their good behaviour and good grades at school. All the funds we raised went towards a Winter Camp somewhere in Poland. We wanted to create for them a possibility to escape from their daily life.
Our goal was €2375 and thanks to all the people who supported us and made donations, we managed to raise €1398. We had massive support from all around the world. Michał from Ireland organised a Pool Tournament and raised €50, Szymon from Poland offered his football T-shirt of TS Podbeskidzie Bielsko- Biała team for auction together with his signature and reached €71 (300 złoty). Also, on 15th of December we ran the 6 km Santa Run in Haarlem – The Netherlands with this year’s theme “Children”.

I support Alicia’s World Foundation, because I like it and it makes me feel better person. It made me also realise that I do not have to have millions on my account to help people who are in more need than me.
