After the success of our last year’s action, Alicia’s World Foundation is organizing another raise. This time, we are collecting money to fund a tailor-made bicycle for Bartek from Kalisz. Bartek is 11 years old and he was born with congenital malformations in the spine (spina bifida). He has been in a wheelchair since he was 3 years old.
Bartek is a confident, cheerful and very active boy who loves sports. His biggest dream is to play football, and his greatest idol is Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona. Bartek has always dreamed to go to Barcelona to see Messi playing in real live! Due to his illness, being a football player has become impossible for him, but Bartek is not giving up!
Since the last 3 years he’s doing basketball training at the sports club in Konin, Poland. He was lucky enough to play with Gortat – a Polish NBA player! Twice a year he participates in sports camps and takes part in various tournaments and olympiads. His dream is to become a basketball player in a league in Poland.
Bartek also spends a lot of time outside with his friends who own a bike. He would love to join them with cycling, but to acquire such bike is very expensive. That’s why Alicia’s World Foundation wants to help fulfill Bartek’s dream and raise funds for the purchase of a tailor-made bike for him this year. That makes our goal for this year: 2500 Euros.
