Alicia’s World Foundation is a non-profit organisation established by Agata Czubak in 2017. Agata’s father called her always Alicia, as this is her middle name. The definition of the name Alicia is characterised with high moral quality; doing a noble deed and is being acknowledged for her personality. This meets what Alicia’s World stands for.
In Agata’s personal life, her parents divorced when she was 11 years old. That made her youth full of turbulence and left her with painful memories. In a later stage of life, it made Agata realise that she was not the only one with family problems, but also other children are often put in situations that they have not always chosen for.
Being sensitive about heartbreaking situations of children from difficult backgrounds and having a great urge to help others, Agata made the decision to establish her own foundation. For a long time this idea was on her mind. However, she didn’t have enough self-esteem to give this a chance.
Thanks to the participation in a Landmark self-development course in 2014 and with encouragement of closest people, Agata organised her first charity project in Kalisz, Poland.
In 2015 and 2016 Agata organised two more Christmas charity projects under the name of Basket Brigade Kalisz. These events helped Agata to crystallise the passion for helping children from difficult backgrounds.
Out of that, Alicia’s World Foundation was born.
