With the amazing success of 2015, we continued with Basket Brigade Kalisz in 2016. The target was set at 100 hampers and thanks to support of all the amazing donors, we were able to prepare and deliver 70 hampers. Also this year Primary School nr 14 in Kalisz hosted Basket Brigade in their premises.
The donations came from different events. Agata’s cousin, Szymon, donated a football T-shirt with signatures of the FKS Stal Mielec team which we auctioned . This was a great success and reached the unbelievable amount of 650 zł (€150). The T-shirt went to the biggest football fan, Michał.
Also, we received great support from the strong and energetic team of Dzika Drużyna. They ran different runs and donated towards our goal whilst also helping us with delivering the Christmas hampers. Additionally, Agata took a challenge herself and ran the 5 km Santa run in Victoria Park London in a Santa-Lady costume, which was great fun!
For the first time we managed to get coverage from the local media and we had news articles on Calisia.pl and also on Kalisz Nasze Miasto.
All in all, it was an amazing achievement; we delivered 70 hampers, collected £1430, drove 7 cars and over 200 people were involved.

I donated because I always give when I can afford to the charitable projects especially if someone asks with such conviction and feeling as you did, you genuinely care so I wanted to give (and you caught me after payday!)
Taking part in BB was an amazing experience for me. Before, I supported charity only by donating, but this year I got day off and I took the train from Warsaw to Kalisz to finally be here and to help organizing the hampers.
